Services

Analysis

Before we begin to work with industries or employees, we examine specific needs such as:

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act creates concern for the job applicant, as well as for injured employees. Does your company need pre-placement or post-injury screening?
  • Ergonomic job-site analysis
  • Functional job descriptions
  • If necessary, worksite modifications

Functional Job Descriptions:

Analyzing a job from a functional perspective is critical for an employer. Our descriptions respond to market demands because they are based on a jobsite analysis and have content validity.

Companies need functional job descriptions because:

  • Pending OSHA regulations and ADA compliance require that reasonable accommodations are necessary after determining essential functions and critical demands of a position
  • Employers need to determine the level of duty at which an injured worker may return to the job
  • Information is needed to avoid discrimination charges
  • Legal functional screened is being implemented.

Ergonomic Job Site Analysis

Our industrial/office ergonomics work-site evaluation is a comprehensive, in-depth
analysis performed by a team of engineer/ergonomic and physical therapists. We identify, design and implement ergonomic solutions as well as increase safety and productivity.

Our purpose is to provide knowledge, products and services to help companies integrate equipment and job functions more effectively, reduced risk of potential injury, decrease insurance premiums and halt worker dissatisfaction.

Effective ergonomic programs can:

  • minimize workers’ compensation costs
  • minimize insurance claims
  • minimize employee absenteeism
  • satisfy pending OSHA requirements
  • maximize employee comfort and improve morale
  • maximize work effectiveness without sacrificing health and safety
  • have a positive impact on profits

Consult

We offer expert consultation in the field of injury management and prevention services to medical and legal professionals, insurance companies, government agencies and other employers.

Risk Management Services

1. Safety System Assessment

A comprehensive examination of where your organization is compared to best-practice systems. You will be provided with an objective summary of where your company is and where it needs to go to achieve excellence in safety. Thirty-two system elements are reviewed using a method that combines targeted interviews with selected document reviews.

2. Safety Process Improvements

A methodical look at processes that are less than optimal in driving excellent safety results. Existing process is examined and compared to what should be. Procedures and training are developed and delivered to close the gap. Applications could include: Change Management, Corrective Actions, Chemical Management, Investigations, Evacuation Planning, Return to Work, Fitness for Duty, Drug and Alcohol Testing and Training.

3. Fitness for Duty

The development of a comprehensive fitness for duty process intended to avoid injuries caused because workers for some reason are not physically able, with or without accommodations, to perform assigned tasks.

4. Return to Work

The development of a comprehensive return-to-work process designed to safely place workers in alternative duty. As part of this process, jobs are examined to determine their physical demands. We work with area physical therapists to develop screens to test the abilities of workers. Equal attention is provided to enhancing the fitness of workers who have identified deficiencies.

5. Claims Process Review

A comprehensive review of internal and external claim processes with recommendations for improvement.
